Which country makes the best apples?

Here in Italy many types of apples with different names are cultivated, for different purposes. Some example: the yellow ones, named 'golden' and 'golden delicious', are good just to eat or in pies or cakes. The red big ones, and the green (named 'grannie smith') with fresh taste are good just to eat, while the red little ones are great for jam, because of their sweetness and a sort of vanilla flavour. Then I especially love a type of apple, called in italian 'mela (apple) cotogna' which is good only cooked; many people make a sort of chutney with this apple, and many other dishes, included sweet, delicious cakes... ps you can visit this site, they make a lot of advertisement about their apples, but every part of Italy has wonderful different apples...

England,there is an apple factory in the middle of London that makes the apples.... they have different sections for the green apples and for the red ones.

All the apple manufacture is being outsourced to China and the Philippines...

Seriously, great apples grow in many places. I'm partial to New England Apples, myself.

I live in Michigan and I think our apples are some of the best. Love to go apple picking in the fall. Then the cider and warm donuts, mmmmmmm, nothing better.

I've had some good apples while in the UK.....of course US apples are good too!

Apples are grown not made.

And the US of course, but like with all fruits and veggies it
depends on the weather.
