Gosh...how much time do you have? It would take me days to explain this one to you. Seriously.
Now let me explain a little bit...
The bible talks of many anti-christs-not just one. Revelation 16-18 descibes the false church (called the harlot) which resides in the city on seven hills (which is Rome).
The Catholic church has persecuted true bible believing Christians since the 4th century. The devil wanted to wipe out true believers and set up HIS false counterfeit religion. This false church has been the cause of more massacres than I can count and their 700 year bloody Inquisition was the cause of the brutal devilish torture and death of millions of true Christians.
Jesus never said to go into the world and kill everyone who refuses to follow Him! But Satan on the other hand walks around like a ravenous lion looking for those he can kill. He set up his earthly kingdom in Rome, kept the bible out of the hands of the people, tried his best to slaughter all of the true followers of Christ, burned bibles, burned bible translators, told people not to pray to Jesus or God but to pray to the "Mother Of God" and to thousands of "saints" (anyone and EVERYONE but God or Jesus!), told people NOT to confess their sins to God but instead to confess them to their men (who "speak for" God and claim to be able to forgive sin on God's behalf), tell people that they can not understand scripture and that the "church" will interpret for them, they stole the role of the Holy Spirit (who is to be our guide), etc...
This false church is the devil's way of trying to destroy the true church and his way of trying to gain worldly control. Do you know that President Bush just met with the pope and was in "awe" of him. He also had behind closed doors meetings with Vatican reps to discuss political issues (like immigration for 100 million Mexican Catholics). Every president, prime minister, prince, king, queen and ruler on earth feels the need to meet with the pope. The pope is just Satan's puppet.
For more info research: the Waldenses, the Hugeunots, the Ustasha (or Ustashe), Jasenovac, the Inquisition, the St.Bartholomew's Day Massacre, indulgences, scapulars, etc...
The bible tells us that there was something in Christ's day that held back the rise of the anti-christ. According to the writings of Iraeneus (sp?) who learned from Polycarp and the apostle John-that thing was the Roman Caesars or Pagan Rome. History tells us that once Pagan Rome fell then Papal Rome immediately rose in it's very spot!
The ROMAN Catholic Church has shed more Christian blood than anyone on earth. She claimed to be the ONLY church and all others were called "heretics" who must be killed.
These teachings have never been changed. After all, this church claims that it NEVER changes.
The popes claim to be "infallible"-which is something only JESUS CHRIST was. They take the name "Vicar of Christ" which means "Substitute For Christ". They are called "Holy Father" which in the bible was reserved only for God Himself!
So, you have a religion where they teach people to pray to someone OTHER than God, keep people from confessing their sins to God, fought to keep the bible away from people, burned bibles, burned bible translators at the stake, killed millions during their Inquisitions, teach people that when you die you go to a place worse than hell called 'purgatory' to pay for your sins, teaches that paying enough money for masses and indulgenses can get people into heaven faster.....etc.
Oh, if you wear a piece of cloth called a scapular Mary says SHE will get you out of purgatory on the first Saturday after your death. Does this sound like something God would do?
Catholics are about the PHYSICAL-crucifixes, holy water, bells, incense, statues, relics, prayer beads, scapulars, medals, etc...
Christians are all about the SPIRITUAL-a one on one relationship with God and Jesus.
Catholics say you can NEVER know if you are saved.
The BIBLE says that there is NO MORE condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. The BIBLE says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
So, to answer your question...there are HUGE differences!!! One follows the God's word (the bible) and one follows the teachings of the pope.

Congratulations" you have actually by your question have been able to show by their incoherent ramblings the mental state of the extreme fundamentalist. As for different Christians that would literally require a book to be able to explain the differences. But here it is in as short of way i can answer. For the first 1500 yrs there were the Catholic and various Orthodox Churches who were at one time excepted the Bishop of Rome as first among equals with the Latins (Catholics) teaching and believing he was head of the Church by decree of Jesus When he said thou art Peter (which means rock) and upon this Rock i will build my Church and i will give to you the Keys to the Kingdom ETC: The reasons the first Christians more or less that went there separate ways is basically with some variations a decision made where as some such as the Greek Orthodox decided that the Bishop of Rome had no authority over them you might say it was like a child telling a Aunt or Uncle you can't tell me what to do only my Mother and Father can. Also there was some disagreements over what or how one should believe. Then about 1500 yrs after Christ founded his Church the Protesters stood up against the Catholic Church claiming it had gone astray from the Bible and started teaching a different way. There is no argument by Catholic scholars and Historians that there were Catholic bishops and Cardinals not acting the way the Church required and they brought scandal on the Church and the loss of millions of members. The Church has corrected it's misunderstood teachings and has made it impossible for it's teachings such as indulgence to be abused by bad clergy again. Now we work with most Protestant Churches on many things and towards a reconciliation of the two faiths. But there are the radicals the extremist on both sides but individuals who are the worst are the Fundamentalist such as David and his kind. Then there are those who get there information from Jack Chick Publications which is another hate filled group claiming to be Christian but are any thing but..

There are certain sacraments (important practices) which the Catholic church believes in that the protestant Churches do not. Martin Luther posted a list of these differences in 1546.
His main complaint were about the role of faith by believer. He was also upset because the Pope sold "indulgences." That if a person committed a sin he could "buy" forgiveness from the church.
Many people agreed with Martin Luther and "protested" procedures in the church. The church ended up splitting. Those who continued to follow the Pope were called "Roman Catholic" those who broke away from the church were called protestants.

Very basically, protestant Christians follow the Bible. Catholics follow the man-made teachings of popes. These teachings often were invented to gain personal wealth, power and control over their adherents. Catholicism is not the same as Christianity and indeed, many true Christians have been persecuted through history for following the Bible instead of the Catholics.

"What separates us as believers in Christ is much less than what unites us." (Pope John XXIII)
Almost all important doctrine is completely agreed upon between Catholic Christians and other Christians.
Here is the joint declaration of justification by Catholics (1999), Lutherans (1999), and Methodists (2006):
By grace alone, in faith in Christ's saving work and not because of any merit on our part, we are accepted by God and receive the Holy Spirit, who renews our hearts while equipping us and calling us to good works.
There are many minor doctrine issues and some major cultural traditional differences which, I believe, do not matter that much.
A Catholic worships and follows Christ in the tradition of Catholicism which, among other things, recognizes that Christ made Peter the leader of His new Church and Pope Benedict XVI is Peter's direct successor.
With love in Christ.

Both Catholics and Protestants are uninformed regarding the other's beliefs, but Protestants make that ignorance public.
Iif Protestants follow the Bible, then why do they have preachers and ministers that they listen to?
