I think it depends on the seller. check their feedback and make sure you pay through PayPal. Paypal has a gurantee system where if you don't get what you paid for you can open a dispute, if the seller is found in the wrong they will refund your money. I ended up having to do it as Christmas time...it took 30 days but was better than being stuck SOL and out my money.
Make sure that you are professionaly measured by a seamstress or someone who sews alot, don't do it yourself. You really need acurate measurements and thats darn near impossible to do on your own.

To be on the safe side - DON'T DO IT. I am a true die hard COURT FAN. I watch them all. Let me tell you - I have seen about 30 shows between all of them whose civil suits are based on the Ebay sales. I have seen at least five of these shows surrounding sellers on Ebay trying to get rid of wedding gowns. I know much depends upon the seller, but the other question I would have is this- do you really want to take a chance, sight unseen on your "wedding dress?" I wouldn't. This is too special of a day and the opportunity for the dress NOT to be what you expected - well...that's a nightmare waiting to happen.

I have never bought a wedding dress on ebay but I've bought lots of other things and the service has varied considerably both in the attitude of the ebayer you buy from to the quality of the goods bought and dispatch time. One way of checking a person's credibility is to check their feedback. If they have any negatives read them carefully and see what people said. Of course you have to weigh up the positives and negatives as you can't please everybody all the time. With something as important as a wedding dress I wouldn't go for anybody who had less than at least a few hundred feedback and would personally look for 100% positive. Check out their returns policy and make sure you get it in plenty of time just in case it isn't right. Good luck and congratulations!

Your best off looking at the shops feedback and then possibly e-mail some of the people who have said it was great and some of the people who have been negative and ask them these questions!
My friend got a beautiful dress really cheap on ebay! Good Luck

I bought this dress on ebay, specialy made for me in white with a red band and they added sleeves on for my It takes about a month to receive but it was made wonderfully, I greatly recommed this seller on ebay. They are in china so it takes about 12 hours for them to respond to your e-mail if you contact them, but I am so happy with my dress.

I saw a lady on Oprah who did that and never recieved her dress. I would suggest that you dont buy it on ebay. Im sure that you can find similar ones somewhere else. Here is the link to that story.....

Read and see if you'd want to continue using PayPal or Ebay! No protection at all! Maybe there is, but for scammers only!
