I have a guy friend that I am really close to. He is very protective of me. As a matter of fact, I had an internet stalker a few weeks ago and when I finally had the nerve to tell him about it, he totally freaked out. He was threatening to kill the guy and all that kind of stuff. He kept telling me to "block the idiot!!!" When he found out that the guy was still trying to contact me, he totally freaked out again. He is never satisfied with any guy that I like. He always finds something wrong with him. He finally went and found a GF a few weeks ago. The past few weeks he has been stressing the fact that I am his "little sister" (this hasn't been brought up in YEARS) When I finally got to meet his gf he introduced me as his little sister who has to approve of everything he does, everyone he sees, etc. He'll do anything to make me happy. One of my friends thinks that that the "little sister" is just a cover up. Does he think of me as a little sister or is it a cover up?
PLEASE HELP!!

Sounds like your his friend, and little sister is a nickname, at first it sounded like he strongly liked you, but then he goes and gets a gf, I don;t understand, maybe he is just unusually protective. It is rare but possible. I get protective of some friends if I need to, it looks like he wants the best for you, and only sees the bad of people. Sometimes I think you need to ignore him and find someone, even if he doesn't like them, doesn't mean you shouldn't.

Yep, he's got it bad for you but thinks he doesn't have a shot. He's probably waiting for you to tell him that she's not good enough for him and that he should find someone like you...or better yet, you. If you don't feel that way, try to distance yourself from him and let him move in a different direction; if you love him, then for god's sake tell him and get it out there so he can be honest with you and himself.

It sounds as though he thinks of you as more than a little sister, but he also sounds very controlling. His concern for you can be very flattering, but it can also become overwhelming. If you want to have him in your life, keep the relationship as his little sister, but you might want to consider not having him in your life.

Sounds like a cover up to me. I think he has feelings for ya and is willing to do whatever it takes to have you in his life, even if it's just as friends.

i think there is more to it than beats the eye. it's not that he's attracted to you but there is something more that he isn't telling. maybe some event in his past that cases him to act that way. the most important thing to do is be honest with him. let him know that he's freaking you out and ask him about it.

the real question is DO YOU THINK OF HIM AS YOUR BIG BROTHER OF A POSSIBLE LOVER??? then if you assured ur feelings for him, maybe u can make the first move and ask him what he really feels toward you...
