I've been talking to this guy for about a week now. Everything seemed so great over the phone. He seemed like a great guy and I was very interested. Then last night we went on our first date and it was extremely awkward. He acted immature and overly hyper for my taste. His car was also a very ugly one. I know that sounds shallow but since my last relationship I decided not to settle for less. Now I'm confused and I don't know if I should still go for it or just drop it completely. Help.

you've only gone out one 1 DATE and your already comparing him to your other relationship?give it time. the girlfriend who i dated for A YEAR was like the funniest first date i ever had we like arguead with each other and ended up kissing by the end of the night. funny how things work out sometimes. if you really want it go for it,and please dont judge him by HIS CAR he probably gets talked sh** about it plenty by his guy friends and he's probably saving for something special.dont judge by his car or how he acted on the first date. casually ask him on a second,and if he acts like he did on the first date just tell him to calm down or "you seem excited tonite,you must really like me". hope this gets some sense into your brain. girls have high standards these days. tht's probably why most nice guys never get the girl because they are spoiled and have high standards and are expected to be "treated like a princess". give him a chance,after all you did like him enough to try a date with him, two wont hurt,you never know.

I'd trust your instinct. The car thing is not a big deal, but if he's acting immature and hyper, I'd look somewhere else.

Regardless of how he acted or how you didn't like his car, it's obvious that there is no chemistry between you two. Don't pursue the relationship with him any farther. Besides, if you didn't things went very well, he probably didn't either.

Maybe he was just nervous. I think you should go on another date and if this one turns out the same as the first one, you should maybe move on.

Please drop it before you actually do end up settling. It sounds to me that if this guy is too immature and hype now, he'll be a total mess if you date him.

From what you've stated, I wouldn't waste anymore time on this guy. You didn't like his behavior or his car, so, I wouldn't "settle for less."

I would give it one more go.
You know nerves can make you act weird sometimes & he may have been a little unprepared for your meeting.
After the second date,if it still doesn't feel right,then i would follow my feelings.
