You could also try honey - put some in your spot, cover with a band aid and sleep in it. I tried it once, and the spot went away, but unfortunately I had an allergic reaction to the adhesive on the bandage and ended up with a huge red streak *sigh*

try apple cider vinegar. apply it over night. t stings a bit but works wonders in removing the redness and reducing the size

hydrogen peroxide, lemon juice, an orange peel, garlic, or a cucumber.
toothpaste works realllly well... so if none of those work, you might wanna try it. idk why you don't wanna use it, but yeah... its good.
