If you want a lighter garlic taste, leave the cloves whole or cut them in half. The smaller the garlic is cut, the more garlic flavor you will get from it. But two cloves, even minced, in that much liquid shouldn't be too much for most people.
From the amount of acid in that marinade, make sure you don't leave the food in it for more than 30-60 minutes or it could start to chemically cook and the texture will get all weird. I'd probably get rid of either the vinegar or the lemon juice. (Probably the vinegar, lemon juice has more flavor) I'd also probably get rid of either the Worchester sauce or the soy sauce. That's a lot of salt. I'd also skip the meat tenderizer, since you have pineapple juice. The pineapple has enzymes in it that naturally tenderize meat. Besides, meat tenderizer is usually just MSG, and there are lots of people who get migraines or other health issues from MSG.

An easy way to find out if you like the way it tastes is to taste it before you put the meat into it. Just a drop, and see if you like the general flavor of it. If you don't then add something to it.
A very simple marinade that tends to work well on just about everything is to get a bottle of any brand of Italian vinaigrette. It's got lots of flavor, and it's usually something everyone likes.

Sounds like a great marinade!! 2 cloves shouldn't make it taste too much like garlic, but that also depends on the garlic. There's a lot of difference in garlic,How fresh, are you using a store bought preminced version? Like I said there are variables. If using a fresh garlic clove 2 medium sized cloves should add just the right amount of flavor. Good Luck and Happy Cooking. stonehead204 P.S. Ididn't see the bacon on your recipe but I would wait till the end of the cooking to add it, sounds like this would be great on the Grill, I'm copying this recipe for myself,Thank you. The bacon thing also depends on how you like your bacon!! You do want the bacon juices to perminate the meat,so that's pretty much a jugdement call!!

Sounds wonderful!! No, the garlic will not make the steaks taste like garlic, it will just tone down some of the sweetness & add a little zing to the flavor. With that yummy marinade, I would not add bacon - you don't need it with all those other wonderful flavors......Hope you're grilling thick cup rib-eyes, they are the best!!

Wow that's not a really simple marinade, I doubt you'd taste garlic with all that other flavor going on. You have a few redundant things in there, do you really need tenderizer? Vinegar AND lemon juice? You'd only need bacon if there is no fat on the steaks at all (like filet mignon)

Sounds good, but I'd leave out the lemon juice. You've already got plenty of acid in the pineapple juice and vinegar.
