Are we talking charcoal briquets?? Those would be a problem as they are filled with noncharcoal additive things. Pure charcoal is not harmful in the least and is used to filter toxins from the body.

No. My mother used to buy charcoal pills, which are a natural remedy for indigestion and stomach problems. You had to chew them and they weren't nice but they worked :-)

we hope NOT since charchol tablets are sold over the counter for bowel cleansing, and is used in poison control situations because charchol naturally absorbs, so should you injest a poison or even alchohol often charchol will be used to absorb and remove the Product....One would think in large doses I suppose it could be harmful expecially in absorbing certain nutriants water soluable vitamin c, ....

No, in fact activated charcoal is sold in capsule form to be taken to aid digestion and gas. It is also given to you in the hospital if they have to pump your stomach. I have random thoughts rolling around in my brain too!

You can buy charcoal pills to cleanse your bowels--munch away but the pills are probably better tasting.

I wonder why you would but except for the wood filler, it would pass harmlessly through your system. What your taste buds think of it is another matter entirely.
