Is it your parents? Your children? Your spouse? What makes your life so meaningful that even in the worst of circumstances, you would pull through if you needed inspiration and that which gave you meaning was that inspiration? In a world so full of hatred and ignorance, don't you think it's time to stop fighting over disagreements and give peace an effort? And to those in the Western world and the Middle East, the first being what I am from, why is it so hard for you to just live and let live? All religions preach peace as the main message, and everyone does differ in opinion, but is that any reason to kill for? Who is with me on voting to put down the weapons, erase hatred from the heart, and say loudly "We won't accept this. You must stop. The children are suffering, don't teach them this drama!" Are you?

Sweetie..your question has touched me so much that I'm almost in tears right now. I often think this way so I'm so touched that there is someone else out there that I can relate to. Weapons are becoming a man's best friend these days. Why can't we stop all this hatred and ignorance in the world? You know what? We can!

I have many things that give my life meaning.

1) Dance. It allows me to express myself and be an artist. I can show who I am and what I want to be this way.

2) My family. Friends come and go but family is there forever. My family has definitely had a bumpy road . This includes death, crimes, and miscommunication. But, my family pulled together and we are as strong as ever.

3) God. Just three letters for such a strong, willingful meaning. Enough said.

Oh and by the way, I now have slow tears running down my face. I am praying tonight for your command. I only wish the best for you. God bless. ♥

I gave you a star. This is my favorite question anyone has ever asked on here. Tears. ♥

Yes, I totally agree. What gives my life meaning is making impact, whether it's helping others (especially if I am helping children), creating something or resolving problems, etc. It's important that when I encounter others or situations, that I leave them better off than they were before I arrive, i.e. leaving a positive impact vs negative impact. When faced with challenges, I embrace them because I believe that through my own application and actions, nothing negative has to remain the same and there is always room for improvement. I also view challenges as opportunity for growth, creativity and developing my resourcefulness. As far as religion and wars, just like man it's all ego driven. There's nothing ever "Godly" about any war. If mankind would just but it's ego to "bed" the world could have peace.

I believe that everybody has his own way to find inspiration. Also, everybody has his own conviction of the sense of his life. Nobody can force you to believe in something you don't want to (big "?": sectes and brainwashing? - excluded).
Since humans are (for me) the most evoluted species on earth, they follow the rules of all the species on earth: do everything to assure the survival of the species. If you have done your duty, you can leave (that's what's my explanation for the early death of my daughter).
The end of your question reminds me a TV-film I've seen once and I adored it:
Somebody kidnapped the Pope. The ransom was: one day without war.
Sometimes I think you have to do that.
After my daughter left I found my strength in the music, sacred or not, and if you listen, you will find that the sacred music is the most powerfull, even for an atheist.

The great war of the future will be Muslims against Muslims. It will be the Muslim crusaders who seek to transform Islam into a weapon for Sharia law against the moderate tolerant Muslims who normally seek peace.

But the Muslim crusaders have not been successful enough in gathering the followers of Islam behind their cause. So they have struck out against the USA, and all the West, and against all who stand in their way. In this way they have created an image that the West is at war with Islam, and they have called all good Muslims to support them.

Will the Muslim crusaders succeed?

My husband and Islam give my life meaning. As for the rest of your question, I respect all religions and don't bash anybody's beliefs. Occasionally I get fed up with people's ignorance and hatred, but I try hard never to judge anybody. There is no reason to fight and to hate each other.

I accept whatever fate that needs to befall us as humans until this evil is purged from us. For me, Life has no meaning without prayer.

With that prayer comes two things: the understanding of suffering and the understanding of salvation.

But before meaningful prayer can be engaged, the understanding of heroic things in the everyday must be acknowledged. We are here on this planet in such frailty. "How fragile we are..." as Sting says in his song. What we do through this frailty is cause for amazement amoung angels.

My 2 wonderful daughters! I raised them alone since they were 5 and 7 and they are the most important people in my life. They are 21 and 23 and are the most loving caring women. I must have done something right!

So, what should we people in the Middle east do sit and let everyone come into our lands? How can you even say stop with the drama when we are starving? How do you know what it is like? Have you been to the middle east? I do not mean Dubai or Pakistan.. I am talking about Syria, Palestine, Jordan or Iraq. Do you know that millions of Palestinians have been displaced since the early 40's. And you white American have the nerve to say stop with the drama. You are a joke.

Knowing that at the end there is Heaven and Hell is the thing that helps me go on ... and about all the stuff you said ... life isn't perfect, and the human race is the most stupid race ever .. even since Adam. Think about it this way, If Adam's son " Habeel " killed his brother " Qabeel " just to marry his wife, what do you think of the coming generations ?
