the prayer of the righteous are heard by God and move his hand according to his will, just one believing person praying is better than a thousand people working with their two thousand hands.

You need to work as well as pray. God isn't going to do for you what you can do for yourself. On the other hand You aren't going to accomplish very much that counts without prayer.

That is a simple take on the idea that "faith without works is dead."

I believe prayer is important and powerful. But, to only pray when you can also do, is like saying, "God bless you, be warmed and filled."

I disagree. Even one persons prayer is often enough to change things. God Bless. Work is also a good thing however. I think God expects me to do what I can before I call on Him to intervene. He is not my servant. I am His.
