One would hope not, considering that there are no miracles that violate the laws of physics.
Makes it kind of difficult to believe in the virgin birth and resurrection though.
The bible chronicles miracle after miracle of times when God broke the natural laws that He supposedly created, appeared before and talked to humans.
Either he all of the sudden stopped for whatever reason, or it never happened.
It never happened.
If there is a God, he is either impotent, indifferent, or both.
A creator god would not be indifferent to his creation.
A creator god would have to be omnipotent.
Therefore, there is no God and the stories in the bible and the scriptures of other religions are just that...stories.

I have a very personal relationship with God. I will say unequivocally that since having become a Christian and since having developed this very special relationship that I have experienced many divine interventions and impossible events. However, it is not because of that expectation that I became a believer in the first place, so the answer to your initial question is No, it is not fundamental to my spirituality. However, I will say that the fact that God has intervened "at my request" has without a doubt strengthened my relationship with Him. I have come to trust Him completely and to follow his instruction to me as closely as I possibly can...not out of fear of "not going to heaven" but out of respect and love for my creator.
Relating to the second half of your question, I find it difficult to understand how anyone can claim to be spiritual or religious without a personal relationship with God. And, if you don't have a personal relationship, you won't have the blessings either. You are simply playing at religion.
It was this very issue that Jesus addressed with the Jewish leaders. They did not have a personal relationship with God...but were merely playing the role of "religion". That accusation was what got the Jewish leaders so angry with him in the first place. It was a threat to their power and position in the community.
I believe God accepts with gladness any form of worship of Him that is heartfelt and honest...regardless of religious affiliation. This includes the Jews (although I know some of my Christian brothers and sisters would argue that point). The personal relationship is the key to spending eternity in the presence of God...not a religion.
God talks to me any time I ask Him a question and He has told me three things in the recent past regarding worship. They are:
1. All worship is acceptable to Him.
2. A personal relationship with Him is the key to spending eternity with Him.
3. I am not to try to tell people how to worship. (i.e. the world does not need another religion)

Anything that happens had a scientific reason behind it, even a miracle. However, anything impossible can happen, since science is in God's hands, not yours :P
About not being spiritual or religious, it's important to believe in God's potential to do as He pleases without any need of 'alignment' with science or logic. So, if you believe nothing impossible can happen, yes that is rejecting God's supremacy.

Miracle in the Biblical sense...."a miracle is an extraordinary work of God that involves His immediate and unmistakable intervention in the physical realm in a way that contravenes natural processes."
Providence....."Providence is Gods faithful, moment-by-moment control over everything He has made to ensure that everything He has created achieves the end He has chosen."
Ephesians 1:11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works **all things** according to the counsel of His will,

The miracle around which all of human history revolves is the ressurection of Christ. Without the resurrection he was just another man who was killed for being virtuous, and we are left with ourselves and the earth to which we are destined to return. Unless Christ is alive right now, ready to show us mercy and forgiveness and bring us into the light of His eternal love, it matters not whether I live another fifty years or if I die tomorrow. For without Him, each of us is destined to become nothing more than a memory in the minds of those who will in time becomes memories themselves. But if He is alive, I have nothing to fear and I have hope for things so wonderful that my heart is incapable of imagining their glory.

Nothing is impossible, therefore, nothing impossible can happen.
(We blew a hole in THAT pretty little theory of yours, didn't we?!)
