I absolutely love Canidae foods both wet and dry. I feed the Canidae All Life Stages dry and wet to both of my Danes as well as our German Shorthair. I also use the Lamb & Rice wet for one of my Danes.

This food is reasonable in price yet has fantastic ingredients..no cheap fillers, no by products, no chemical preservatives or colors. it has quality ingredients from here in the US none imported from China..the quality control is great. It also rates an A+ on the food rating chart.

I am extremely picky about food when it comes to feeding my dogs. I have done extensive study on canine nutrition, anatomy, digestive systems, foods, etc. I've become an avid label reader. In my job I see a lot of clients dogs that are fed low quality foods and these dogs often have itchy skin, runny eyes, chew their feet, have dry, dull skin & coats, tooth problems, constipation or diarreha, etc.. I talk to a lot of clients concerning foods and tell them to become aware of what they are putting into theri dogs..become label readers. I often give them lists of good quality foods which include Canidae, Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul, Wellness, Merrick, Fromm just to nmae a few..
Many peopel say their dogs are doing just fine on Pedigree, Science Diet, etc but when they change to better foods they come back and say they would never have believed the difference it would make.

Hey there!! I know I am not Dane Lover, but I wanted to give you my two cents :)

Canidae is a really good quality food. I highly recommend either Canidae, Innova, or Timberwolf Organics to our clients. Because of my profession I am extremely picky when it comes to dog food. Those three are among the best... no added fillers, all natural, no wheat or corn, no wheat gluten, etc.

If you have the time and money a BARF (Bones and Raw Foods/ Biologically Appropriate Raw Food) diet is the best diet you could feed your dogs. Dr. Billinghurst is the guru of the BARF diet. Here is his website: http://www.barfworld.com/

Have a great day!!
