I guess I look at it as; Who did Jesus pray to? God the father. Jesus always pointed to the Father. So I will follow his example.
As far as the guy above praying for world peace? What? The key to prayer is knowing how to pray and what to pray for. That of course is assuming your spiritual life is right. World peace will come in due time, Gods time, but to expect a prayer and then have God to make it better for a sinful world...unrealistic. First, prayer must line up to Gods plan. If it doesn't, you're praying against God's will. Or asking amiss as it says in James.

They are one in the same. They are the trinity. Individual yet one. They have different characteristics and yet they all have the characteristics of a perfect God. You can pray to any one of them or any combination. A good idea might be to do a study on the names of God and Jesus. It is really fascinating all the names they have and the different characteristics that they reveal about God. There are several books out there on praying the names of God. Your prayers take on a much deeper and more intimate quality. The important thing is that it is God you are praying to not a person or saint. God the Father, God the Son, or God the Holy Spirit. Hope this helps.

When you pray to the Father, all else is covered...
The Father: The Creator
The Son: The Created
The Holy Spirit: The Tie That Binds Us Both (Love)

Yes, because there's the Father(God), the Son(Jesus), and the Holy Spirit(Both). The Holy Spirit is both. God Bless.

well the way i have been taught u pray to Jesus and to God out father. the Holy Spirit lives inside of us and it helps us through our daily lives and helps us make difficult choices. i really dont think u can pray to the Holy Spirit but im not sure i just think that it helps us if we have it and it is a way to get closer to God and Jesus. if we speak in tongues then that is a way to talk to God w/ the devil not knowing wat we are saying to it brings us closer to God also and that goes w/ the Holy Spirit. well i hope this helps.

people have been asking that question for centuries. that's why prayer doesn't work
oh, and I'm sure this prayer has something to do with you right? most pray is self centered. another reason it doesn't work.
but, praying for world peace is just as effective as trying to move an object with your mind.
the three are one in certain braches of the christian religion. so it all depend on what group you are affiliated with.
