Questions like "If we evolved from apes why are there still apes?" and answers that insist "it's impossible for natural selection to produce new species" are mocked in this article on the Creationist website Answers in Genesis.

Have the creationists and atheists here ever come across this list of 37 "Arguments for creation that creationists SHOULDN'T use"?

Yeah, I've seen that before & I'm glad they're trying to be logical.

The reason they say it's impossible to produce a new species is ,they would have found millions of transitional fossils by now....and they haven't found ANY.Every two years or so they trot out this Chinese "lizard bird" .It is a fraud and then it goes away and resurfaces after another 2 years. It is always discredited and yet they still drag it out now and then hoping enough people don't know about it.At least they quit trying us with Piltdown man,Nebraska man,Java man(that was big when I was a kid),Coelancanthe fish etc.(It is a fish with little arms that was supposedly extinct a billion years ago, then a fisherman caught one recently ,and it still had the little arms and in a billion years never evolved further.)

What is an 'educated creationist'?

I think 'slightly less willfully ignorant creationists' might be more accurate.

AIG my have decided that it is too embarrassing to keep trying to claiming these 37 particular claims, but the have a whole load of others that have been debunked over and over but still remain on their web site.

it is my opinion that people against evolution tend to not even know what evolution entails, they tend to quote the monkey thing like you did. or use the quote survival of the fittest wrongly.

there is a very good book out there called 10 misconceptions about evolution, and its a suggested read to anyone. even if you are religious, whats the harm in reading it?

the whole argument of creationism vs evolution is futile. its logic vs faith, and one is never going to convince the other, unfortunately.

and i do beleive education is the answer here. Education does not exclude religion, however it does kill of Religous Fundamentalist Zaeloutry. (and im not just talking muslim here)

read, hear, learn and FORM AN OPINION, if that opinion then still includes god so be it. but do the first 4 steps first please.

A bad argument is a bad argument. It should not make a difference which side the argument is on. I still love the argument that.." evolution has to be true, because the alternative is unthinkable".
I guess I need to go through my old books and find that one again so we know who to laugh at.

Wow, thanks for posting this. I'm a creationist and I knew a few of them (like the "Darwin recanting myth") but it's good to see a few of these others so I don't run into them from a creationist and think they rule. Some of these are hilarious.

evolution is an attempt by man to zero out the belief that there's a being whose knowledge and wisdom farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr supersedes theirs.
the earth is only 6-7 thousand years old and God created this planet and all others in the universe along with its inhabitants. earth is the only planet that fell to sin.

It is clear that Christians haven't read the list. They keep making the same silly points.

"Did you know that atheists and educated creationists both think these arguments for creation are stupid? "
