"Jesus said earth will pass away but my words will never pass away."

yet if we reject the prophets and Moses words why wouldnt we reject Jesus words and salvation too?

Moses said there is no forgiveness of sins without a blood atonement "The life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it upon the altar to make atonement for your sins." Leviticus 17:11

Isaiah said the Messiah would be God the child born, the Son given and the prince of peace "Isaiah 9:6

someone said that Jesus just read the prophecy and then fit himself into it? that is the ultimate joke-like Jesus decided to be the mighty God, and be the child born the son given, because he saw that prophecy, and decided to die to be our atonement, and live a sinless life so he would be worthy to die in our place.

I had to come to believe the words of the Scriptures of my own Jewish people who for the most part reject our Jewish Messiah Jesus.

do you claim Jesus & SavedXexisted? the most proven fact in life?

Ok I am starting to get the blindness-Muslims believe Jesus as long as what he says doesnt go against what they believe

Athiests-dont seem to want to admit this time if Jesus ever existed or that he did and that he wasnt God-yet he was predicted to be God-so they are saying they reject anything that doesnt agree with what they have decided to believe-which does make sence since Athiesm

=Athiesm says "No God" which means they would have had to be back at Jesus time as well as back to the beginning of time or to be able to examine the entire universe spiritually and physically to know that God isnt in one place-

Athiests in other words would have to be Jesus spirtually and physically to prove that God doesnt exist-making their hypothosis as one person said less than hypocritic.

sorry about my spelling isn't -yet isn't life wonderull once we stop living as a hypocrite like I use to do for years, rejecting Jesus Words yet saying he was a good man-till I started to cuss Him.

to say you accept Jesus as a true prophet and then say whatever he said that doesnt agree with what I believe I reject-that is like you writing me a letter and me saying I believe you but everything you say is lies and twisted-its not who I decided you are. and that goes for my quotes of Moses and Isaiah too-=still in the Jewish Scriptures that predicted the coming of Jesus to die as the Messiah blood atonement for our sins.

would Jewish people that decided to reject Jesus not take these out if the word was incorruptable-YES

JESUS SAID IF YOU REJECT MY WORDS, the same will judge you in the last day. John 12:48 -why would John tell people not to lie and then write down lies-why would he die a martyr rather than deny the Word?

Why not believe Jesus Words and surrender to the love of Jesus in his above offered salvation and friendship
-what do you have to lose? besides your soul, heaven instead of torment forever in hell, the joy of salvation, inner peace, Jesus friendship!

Many people believe that Jesus existed, but that He is not God. In other words, He either lied or he was delusional, because He did say he was God. (See list below). At the same time, they laud him as a great man, a holy man, a great prophet, a moral man, etcetera. How can he be such a great man and a liar or lunatic at the same time? It makes no sense.

Here are a few verses that tell us Jesus is God:

John 1:1 - "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

John 1:14 - "And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth."

John 5:18 - "For this cause therefore the Jews were seeking all the more to kill Him, because He not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God His own Father, making Himself equal with God."

John 8:24 - "I said therefore to you, that you shall die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you shall die in your sins."

John 8:58 - "Jesus said to them, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.'"

Exodus 3:14 - "And God said to Moses, 'I AM WHO I AM'; and He said, Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’"

John 10:30-33 - "I and the Father are one." 31The Jews took up stones again to stone Him. 32Jesus answered them, "I showed you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me?" 33The Jews answered Him, "For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a man, make Yourself out to be God."

John 20:28 - "Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and my God!"

Col. 2:9 - "For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form."

Phil. 2:5-8 - "Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, 6who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. 8And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9Therefore also God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, 10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those who are in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, 11and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

Heb. 1:8 - "But of the Son He says, "Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever, and the righteous scepter is the scepter of His kingdom."

Quoted from Psalm 45:6, "Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever; a scepter of uprightness is the scepter of Thy kingdom."

Since when do Atheists believe in Jesus? I'll grant that he may have existed and maybe even ranted and raved about God, but I don't buy into the God story or even the whole "Son of God" folklore. If Jesus existed, I have no reason to believe he was any different than all the many religious loud mouths we have right here and now. So there's nothing hypocritical here!

[Edit] I can see--without surprise--that you're already set on what answer you'd like to get. Why the hell do people like you waste our time with crap like this? That makes it a packaged deal: Ignorance AND arrogance. A two-for-one special!

Just a few points to clarify - assuming you are talking about what we can know historically. We have no way of knowing Jesus lived a sinless life. All you can know for certain is that some New Testament authors affirmed this. Similarly, you cannot know that Jesus died for your sins. You can only know for certain that there were early Christians who interpreted his death in this way (and of course, you can also know that people today continue to do so). You also cannot know Jesus was God - all you can know for certain is that the author of the Gospel of John viewed Jesus as the incarnation of God's Word (and of course, you can know that you and many others share this view of Jesus, although I think many today actually interpret this Gospel's words in ways that its author would have found surprising).

You should work on expressing your ideas more clearly. This will help readers understand your questions better, and will presumably lead to the question being taken more seriously, which will probably in turn lead you to get better answers.

Jesus existed
Jesus was a good prophet, he inspired people and he lead people. he was then executed by the romans. the end.

i cant help to notice you quoted some very nice bibles verses. first of all, there are no direct words word jesus ANYWHERE in the bible. the bible was written by the apostels and the apostels' followers in the 200 years after jesus' demise.

as for the quote from leviticus, i realy dont think christians think leviticus still applies to society. leviticus is the jewish law. the speech in the text is very condeming, yet christians usually only seem to quote the thigns they like and ignore the rest. executing homosexuals is very popular, but that eating shrimp is also punishable by death is never quoted. nor is the fact that having sex with a woman (even if she is your wife) whiel she is on her periode is also an abomination.

the message of jesus has since his demise been preeched, corrupted, reformed , and translated about 80 times. giving the likelyhood of anything even still being correctly interepereted very unlikely.

Atheists do not believe in Jesus as you do. Some of us think there was a guy by that name thjat got a lot of stories attatched to him. But divine? Nope.

Jews are not believers in Jesus. If they were, they'd be Christians. Jews have good reasons for not believing in him: There are certain criteria the Jewish Messiah must have, and Jesus did not have them all.

Muslims accept that there was a Jesus and that he was a prophet...as long as his words don't conflict with other prophets. They don't believe he died and was resurrected. Muslims believe he was one prophet among many...with Mohammed being the last word on the subject.

None of the above attribute divinity to Jesus, nor inerrance to your book.

Jews not Jewish.. And Jews don't believe in Jesus although he was a Jew himself. Don't you remember how it went? Jews left Jesus outside the sinedrio because he was claiming to be the son of god. The Sinedrio didn't allow this speaking and had to close the doors to Jesus (who was an important member of the sinedrio till hen).
The Romans, then, without the sinedrio protecting Jesus anymore decided to kill Jesus as he became a dangerous man for the stability of the roman order.

I believe in Jesus Christ as a prophet and I accept his word that is the same word of Islam (submission to God). What I reject is the corrupted book that has being claimed to be his word.

Peace!

We believe in him ONLY as a prophet , and you decided to change his words around. No one even knows who all 3 disciples were that recorded what he said. Then you say Jesus was crucified because now he has "saved" you. OK, doesn't make sense at all. Christianity doesn't tell people to live up to their own deeds. Once your a christian your automatically "saved" no matter what you do.

And yeah if the bible can be divided into different testaments/versions then there's no point in believing a word of it.

Jesus is a legend, just like King Arthur or Robin Hood. There might have been a historical person or two or three, upon whose lives the legend was woven.

Therefore you could say I don't believe in Jesus and I reject his words (most of them, at least). Okay for you?
