I have O positive and have been told that I cannot give blood due to a false positive HIV test over 10 years ago. What can I do to be able to give blood now?

What is mad cat talking about? Didn't she read "FALSE Positive"?

You won't be able to give blood again... even though you do not have HIV, they are afraid that whatever tricked the test before may happen again and cause the blood supply to be in question. If you want to help out, learn to draw blood and volunteer at the donation center.

Cheers.

When you give blood, there is a long list of quetions you have to answer. One of them is are you giving blood to find out if you have AIDS. I would be honest when you answer the questions, which are reviewed by someone before they will let you give blood. They may feel you are only trying to get a free AIDS test.
