If God had created all of the life forms in one week in one place and they had then spread out from there over the whole world, then why are the life forms in the eastern and western hemispheres so different?

And if all land animals and men had drowned except for those in the ark, and all that now exist are descended from those chosen few, then why the different kinds of animals and men on either side of the Atlantic?

And why do they include American animals in pictures of Noah’s Ark, when at the time the story was written they didn’t know the New World existed and so couldn’t know of those animals unless they changed the biblical stories to include American animals, which we can only assume would be false then; unless American animals are the evolved state of those animals that did survive on the ark.

Only Southern Baptists, and Australian school teachers, actually literally believe all that stuff.
I love it when believers use evolution to argue the bible as true and evolution false. It just shows how seriously disconnected their thinking is.

The fact that many cultures including the Balonians had flood stories just shows how a good story travels, especially one that lets a father tell his 4 yr old that the fossils in the desert on mountain tops got there from a huge flood. It was a long time later that plate tectonics was discovered.

There is a great debate that goes on here between Evolutionists and biblical "scholars". The truth is that The ark in the story has been misrepresented over european history for ages. the Ark was not some stylized ship with this massive pointed bow and a cabin on top. It was not designed for traveling or slicing through the water, as the mythicalversion of the ship looks. In actuality, it was a large box that was sealed watertight and weighted in the bottom so that it would not sink. The watertight nature of the ship was designed so as to be able to withstand horrible conditions at sea and stay afloat. A scale model of the boat described in the TORAH was built and floated to precise modular dimensions, and the scientists that built it could not sink it with simulated weather patterns. they even tried to simulate a cat 5 hurricane, and could not sink it. The types of animals on board were not listed precisely by type in the torah, but it says that there were two of each type.

Here is the interesting part of this, though. There are stories in every major culture throughout recent history of a major flood that took place eons ago, and a similar story to the Noah's Ark for each of those civilizations. All of the stories do not include an "ARK", but they do all contain the basic precept of someone or some group had been told by God to Take two of each type of animal to a cave or on a ship or whatever and to care for them during this great flood that was coming.

As for the evolution angle, I would suggest that you look into the concept of adaptation instead of pure evolution.

Hope this helps...

Since no one alive now knows what the animals looked like then, how can you be certain of anything? Just believe that two of EVERY type animal that was living then, was taken aboard the ark. And, your climate and where you live does change your appearance. This is true in Men as well as animals. And, if it gets too crowded, animals will migrate to other places and adapt their bodies to fit their new environment. As a Christian, I accept genes and DNA....but that doesn't mean that I think WE evolved form animals. One day I will know for sure because I will be with Jesus and I will know the answer to every question ever raised. Thanks, and have a great day!

when the bible says that GOD flooded the earth it could mean only the part where man lived at the time. after all that was their whole world and didn't know about the other continents. also just because the flood killed every one except those on the ark doesn't mean god didn't make other people to live on the other continents after the flood was over.

I've seen objections to the Noah's Ark story that ran into tens of thousands of words. It must easily be the most stupid story in the whole bible.

The o.t. is not the inspired word of God and therefore is not worhty of your time or brain power. Get smart, read the accurate account in The Apocryphon of john. Jesus knows, Moses doesn't.

Noah's arc is just an old story. No other answer could possibly make any sense.
