talk therapy ,stay away from meds, they only become a crutch and ruin your health, i am withdrawing from zoloft and never felt better these drugs ruin your mind, your sex life, and your liver and kidneys, please just seek a good talk therapist and maybe behavior modification techniques.

i see a therapist twice a week and we work on ways do deal with what happened. i was abused from age 2 til 16. at 16 i left home. i have been in therapy for 18 years. I take cymbal ta and klonipon and srequoel and trizidone. I suffer from nightmares. They best way do deal with any PTSD is to seek out a good therapist. And also never blame yourself and try and work through it. its does not get better in one day. for some its along term process you have to work on.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, daily.
You can learn about it from a professional therapist (and you won't need to go to therapy daily to practice CBT daily.)

this is from personal experience....

it will help if you can work, or volunteer, with people who need help.

i did almost full-time volunteer work in a couple of homeless shelters for about 8 months. it really helped. try to look around for volunteer opportunities.
