The wise one admits he knows NOTHING

2007-06-16 08:13:16 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 3 1

If a wise person asks a question to a wise person that "claims" he knows the answer, and the asker believes the claimant, the answerer is more wise by fault, because he was the askee. However, if the wise asker knows the right answer and asks a wise answerer who "claims" to know the answer but gives a wrong answer, it would be a tie. The wise answerer would ask the wise questioner, "If you already knew the answer, then why in hell did you ask me?"

In conclusion, either can be wise.

To truly be wise one must seek out knowledge.

To question and seek information is to realize how little you do actually know. To become aware of the lack of actual information you really do possess is to be wise.

Those whom claim to know the answers merely can only give you their opinion of any given topic.

Obviously this is just my opinion. But I do know that I have a strong urge to continually search for answers to my questions which I feel have enabled me to gain more in depth knowledge of any given subject. Hence becoming wiser in different areas of interest than some of my contemporaries.

Thank you. No one knows all the answers. We're all winging it , and no ones perfect! I answer a question the way I feel is for the best. Sometimes it involves a Bible verse, some times not. BUT, if someone asks a question, I shoot from the hip and, well, that's why we're here, right? To see how others feel, and give our input? (I AM really wise, though!(smile))

Those who ask questions. Learning never ends as long as the brain is still alive. The more you learn, the more wise you become.

Even wise people should know that other people may have answers that they need.

This is a very good question. I think it depends on the type of question..and as for the answers..some religious people on here that belong to certain religions really think they have all of the answers..That being the case..I don't think they are very wise.

Those who are wise in their own eyes probably have little wisdom, those who have convictions and yet continually still seek wisdom and knowledge are among the wise,in my opinion.

Both questioners and answerers may fit into either category dependent on the position of their heart, mind and intention.

I once got into trouble from one of my teachers
I would sit quietly , thinking i was a good little pupil
listening to her words , taking it all in

she yelled at me ( lovingly )
sitting quiet doesnt teach you anything she said
you have to ask , question , debate , challenge
dont take everything in that I say
what if I am wrong ?

so now I ask when I have to
and would not claim to know everything
what if I am wrong ?
