when truck is running it is rough and sometimes getting spark from coil wire to the post on either side of coil, is it a bad coil or coil wire?

when spark travels that far there is a great resistance in the spark plug wires plugs and inside the distributor cap. Replace all the ingnition parts with new toyota parts. then look closely up the plastic coil top for cracking or carbon tracking burnt lines. If you see the coil is good try the plugs wires and dap and rotor first. "Rule spark will take the shortest path to ground".

Sound like the spark plug wires are bad. Change them all. You can end up frying the ignition modulator which is pretty expensive.

Do a ignition tuneup . cap ,wires ,plugs. something down stream can cause a problem upstream sometimes. Plus,you will save money on gas and it will pay for it`s anyways
