I am a christian and i know the bible says that we will be treated badly by the world just as Jesus was but, if the atheist and non-believers had a section on here i wouldn't feel the need to even care what you all talk about or think. Why do ya'll care so much what we think and say?

According to the Bible (Romans 1), an atheist knows deep down in his/her heart that there is a God and “suppress the truth in unrighteousness.” Though an atheist is blinded by Satan’s lies, they are created in image of God and they have the longing and desire to search and know God. That's one reason why atheists hang out in the Religion and Spirituality section and discuss God.

I can't speak for other atheists, but I write in Religion & Spirituality because religionists, mostly Christians, direct questions to atheists here. In general, I write in Y!A simply for the joy of writing. I rarely write about religion or atheism except in this forum.
But if you think about it, you'll realize that the second word, spirtuality includes some atheists, too. Many atheists believe that there is a spirtual side of human nature. I have seen ghosts, for instance, and I believe that there are mysteries that are beyond the limits of my knowledge and understanding.
When I rejected the possibility of God and gods, I did not reject the possibility of ESP, reincarnation, or some other form of existence that is not dependent on a living body. I simply accept that this is an area that remains a mystery, for now at least.

For some, they're bashers and trolls, usually under 15 years old, and they do it for kicks. Others are confused as to the difference between a question/answer board and a message/debate board. Yes, I know its an obvious difference, but they either don't understand or they're afraid to go to the message/debate boards because there are actual debates there, not just one post, and it appears they're intimidated by the concept of being refuted. Mature atheists do not hang out here because they have no interest, so what we're getting isn't exactly the top of the barrel types. Just ignore them, if we'd do that they'd figure out how to find message boards like the big guys.

Atheists are often very spiritual, but not superstitious.. They believe in the essential goodness of people, and the love and helpfulness each of us ought to have towards others... and they get that, sweetie, without a bible, or any holy book.. they get that from their spirituality......
Why? Did you think that one had to believe is heaven, hell, the easter bunny, sky daddies, Goldilocks, angels, and the guy in the red suit with the pointy tail to be self aware, moral, and have an essential nature? My, your lack of understanding of philosophy is showing, hon..... go back to school and take a few classes in Comparative Religions.....

Because everyone has opinions? Some should be used to question and learn more about religion, but most people just take it the wrong way and then they go into defending their God because they are ignorant of the other people with different views. Why do you care so much what atheists say?

Why do christians react with hate towards someone who says god doesn't exist. If you were and true christian, you would be incapable of hate. I respect other religions even thought I am an atheist because I don't want to change anyone else's beliefs. So quit trying to change those who don't want to.

Its interesting to note you question is directed to atheists, when you decry the presence of atheists in this room.
Sort of like posting a bill on a building that says "No posting of bills allowed"
Be that it may, are you saying that atheist have no spirituality or that they are not Christians and therefor do not belong in this room? To help you answer this question, first ask yourself; "What is spirituality?"

Many people come on here for that. I see what you're saying. Yahoo Answers was probably created for people to come on here, ask real questions, and get legit answers. It's turned into a place for people to state their beliefs and how they feel. Is that really a question? No. I'm Christian though so I can't answer your question.
