The meaning of Ich Dien is "I serve" in German. It has been the motto of the Prince of Wales since the days of the Black Prince. In old Welsh, as some believe, the motto is a corruption of Eich Dyn "Your man." I rather like that suggestion!

Ich dien (I serve), the motto of the Black Prince, adopted from John of Bohemia, and since then that of the English Prince of Wales.
The three feathers is used a lot to symbolise Wales as it is the crest of the Prince of wales but the actual Welsh flag is a red dragon on a two coloured background green on the bottom half and white on the top half.

It means "I serve" in German and is the motto of the Prince of Wales. Amusingly, it sounds not entirely unlike the Welsh for "your a r s e".
