Absolutely, and in a healthy way too.

Calorie counting: Start by counting what you're already eating (typical is 1500-2000 calories a day): best to measure the average of at least the past weeks foods ... then reduce by 15%. Example: You eat 2000/cpd for two weeks reduce calories to 1700 { 2000 - (2000 *.15)} ... and you should loose 4-6 pounds in two weeks providing you maintain the same activity level.

Should you select healthier food (greens, & fruits) you'll probably find that you are eating more food, during more times in the day.

Always eat more than 800 cpd to avoid being unhealthy.
------Additional ----
You can reduce calories between 10-20% for weight loss ... if you go past this percentage you may gain weight ... this is because your body will go into survival mode. So if you're eating 2000 cpd and reduce to 1000 cpd you've stopped your metabolism system.

My field is in fashion, as a result many people ask me how they can slim down. My answer is always the same: good diet and exercise. But I found this great product which I think helps a lot in the process. I recommend you check this website

You would lose the weight but you would probably gain it back as quickly as you lost it. If you want to maintain weight loss the best way is through exercise as it speeds up your metabolism. Starving yourself slows down metabolism and makes it harder to burn fat. You're more likely to lose muscle.

as long as you are burning more calories then you take in you will loose weight. just be careful to eat enough or your body will go into starvation mode and hold on to the fat.
