Im thinking something like the Red Dawn movie?
I think not very far, because so many Americans have guns, but just wanted to see what others thought.

An invading force would never reach US soil. And it isn't because so many Americans have guns, it is because we a freakin HUGE military. We have satelites that would pick up an invasion force as soon as it left the ground or foreign port. We have appox 80% of the world's naval and air power.
Who, exactly would invade us? Mars???

I think the Red Dawn, John Wayne scenarios are a thing of the past. All of the legal gun owners are afraid to shoot them anyway because of the law. It is not the guns so much as it is the people behind them. The criminals do not mind using thiers. The facts are simple, the invasion is over. Every city in the U.S. has been infiltrated already. I cannot leave home and come back without spotting an obvious illegal mexican allien somewhere. 12 million mexicans in US. illegally. If our president was to call on all legal gun owners to solve the problem it would all be cleaned up in a matter of weeks. Mexicans would be fighting each other to get home.

it depends on where they come in .. im sure they will meet resistance everywhere but if they came into the south there'd be a line of us gool ole boys in race cars and pick ups leading all the way to em .. by the time the army would get there all theyd hear is a couple shot guns go off and see beer cans all in the road then some redneck sum bich would say war's over boys lets go home lol but seriously it does just depend on how many people are around and how many troops were in the invading force

Depends on how much of a surprise it is and how much they scare us. Also on where they come in. In WV they would not make it very far. I'm not sure how fast it would take for the Defense Dept. to get there. Probably not very long.

There is no country that would be able to invade us. Our navy would take of anybody that tried an amphibious assault. The air force has new toys that would slow a land-based invasion enough until the army came to clean them up.

A well-trained sp-op regiment may seize an average US city just in one day. Noone will be able to resist if the major highways are closed, electricity, water and SEWAGE are down.
Some cities are especially vulnerable, I wouldn't tell 'cause some bad guys may read.
