Guys, can tell me why would u ask the same one girl questions such as "what did u do for today?", "how's today?" every night online? Is it just a way of getting conversation going or there's more to it?

Or gals, do u get such qns from a guy who's only seeing u as a friend?

It depends. Only you know the kind of guy who is asking you this question. Based on what you know about this guy, his personality/interests/etc, you can probably form a pretty good idea of whether or not he's just making conversation or trying for something more.

If you like the guy, engage in conversation with him regardless of which answer to this question is right. You'll have a "gut feeling" that leads you to an answer once you've talked to him enough. You may already have a "gut feeling" about this guy.

Go with your gut. The rest will follow.

hmm, what i think is even if it may be a line to get the conversation started, why would a normal guy friend asks these same questions every night... it seems as though he really wants to find out what you have done.

if the guy is a friendly person, then i really have not much of a clue since he could be just friendly. perhaps some friendly guys can help to explain if u do just ask anybody these questions all the time?

Sounds like it's annoying to you. Yes it's a conversation starter and yes friends do ask this. If you don't like him asking the same question every night, just say it was cool and ask him a question to get off the topic.

Conversation. If you don't know someone, or have no clue what to say, you fall back on old questions and habits.

It can be annoying and confusing, but girls do it too. It bugs me, because I can't understand why they want to know, but on the same token, I ask because I am curious...

Seems to me those are just common questions to ask out of courtesy. Not everyone who is friendly to someone is looking or thinking of ulterior motives. Just relax and enjoy the friendship.
