People have a hard time training chihuahuas because they don't treat them like dogs and crate train them; they let them sleep in bed with them. Another problem is size; if you give a chihuahua the run of the house it seems as big as a park to them. If you confine the puppy to one or two rooms and keep an eye on it you'll do better. One more problem people impose on themselves is trying to work with more than one dog at a time. One puppy alone will try to cooperate and work into the human pack; two puppies together don't feel any need to understand or cooperate with people; they have each other.

ok i have a chihhuahua and yes he was hard to train but he is house trained, it is not impossible to train them you just need to work harder at it, and be consistant. the only problem i had with him was he is very possesive if its his dont let another dog around it, he can be spiteful and go on the floor just to get even with something you did like leave him alone for a long time, or get another pet. He does have some skin problems and allergies but i am workin on it. he is now 10 years old and in all those years he has been a great asset to our home. but yes chihhuahuas can be trained to potty outside. and yes he was create trained.

Very wrong all dogs are hard to potty train. Chihuahuas arn't that hard to potty train. Though first you have to consider your boundries for the dog. Are you gonna let it sleep in your bed? Have the entire house to play with? Probably not. You have to treat a chihuahua like a dog and not a play thing or an iPod. And if you treat it like a dog you will have an easier time potty training your dog.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://bitly.im/aMTHd

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

My Chihuahua was very easy to train. I used that puppy training paper. I kept the training pads in the kitchen I used baby gates to keep her in the kitchen when I went out or when I was too busy to watch her. She had a few accidents at first, but it didn't take long to train her.

I love my chihuahua. Email me if you have more questions.

Chihuahuas are easy to housebreak. I have 6. I like the peepads for them, and I do take them outside too. Some dogs like hounds and pekes are almost impossible to housebreak. I had a pekingese for many, many years that was just impossible, but the chis are easy. They basically train themselves..

Chihuahuas are no harder oe easier than any other dog. I had one of my males housebroken in 3 days. You have to be consistent in taking them out after they eat, sleep, and play. Watch for the signs that they are looking for a place to go such as sniffing, circling, getting nervous, etc and take them out right away. I sent you some pix!! Did you get them??

No, it is absolutely untrue! I have bred Chihuahuas for many years, and I have never had any problems potty training any of them. They are no harder to train than any other breed. With the proper training, you should not have any problems.

Yes it is. But just think about it, even though these are little dogs, you still need to take them for walks and let them do their business outside. These dogs are very hard to keep up with. Remember if you don't have time for one or don't have what it takes, JUST DON'T GET ONE!
