For some reason my computer deleted the words from one of my notepad files. It didn't ask to save so I went back in and the file was still there but the words weren't. Please help! To rewrite that it would take hours.

Sorry, but I don't think you can get your work back. There is no auto recovery system like the one in Microsoft Word.

The only thing you can come out with is the lesson learned - never use Notepad without saving your work - or you might as well just depend on Microsoft Word since it has an auto recovery system in case something happens. You might not get all your work back, but you'll get most of it.

Well, try looking at the recycle bin (folder name ) or search for the notepad file's name in EVERY folder in your computer. It might have copied itself to another folder if you saved it . Don't search it by checking all the folders, use the search button which is in the file browser.

Good luck.

To recover lost text from notepad, you may use asoftech data recovery software. Download it to your computer and see whether it can recover deleted words from your notepad file.
