I have had an upset stomach since last night, I have taken TUMS, Pepto, and even some gas pills and nothing helps. It is just this pain that is always there and won't go away. I have eaten, it doesn't help either. Any idea what to do to make it go away???

Where is the pain? How bad is it? If it is so bad you can hardly breathe and it is in your right side, ribs, or back on your right side, it could be your gall bladder and you need to get to an ER right away! If it is on the left and it hurts that badly, it could be your appendix and you need to go to the emergency room ASAP.

If you don't feel it hurts that badly, but it's still discomforting, you can try avoiding dairy products and fatty foods for a few days (and eat extra fruits and/or veggies to help certain things move along) until your tummy works out whatever is bothering it.

If it continues for over seven days without improving make an appointment with your regular doctor, just to be safe.

Good luck and let me know how it turns out.

Stay away from solid foods for a while. You don't want your stomach to work harder than it has to, and liquids will help work out gas bubbles. ANY liquid will do, but seven up or sprite is best. If you get hungry, stick with crackers, toast, oatmeal, or rice. That's right...bland and boring. Bananas and applesauce are good too. But DON'T overdo it.
Once you get a belly full of liquid, either sit straight up, walk around, or lay on your left side in a fetal position. This will encourage a host of good belches. A warm compress on your belly might help, too. Good luck and be sure to follow up with the doc if it doesn't go away.

Blessings

Sounds like you've done quite a bit to try to stop this problem. Call your pharmacist and ask if there's an over the counter medicine that could help your problem. Pharmacists are a great help on weekends.

If not telephone your doctor and ask for something to help. Next week you should see your doctor and get an examination to find out what has happened.

You don't mention your age. If you are older, it could be Diverticulitis and you will need an antibiotic. The intestines are like the inner tube of a bycicle tire. When you get older, the walls get week and bubbles develope and food gets caught in these bubbles and festers. Avoid nuts and food with seeds. You will need to go to a doctor. It can get serious if you don't. That is one reason people have a colostomy.

Go see a Dr. I had the endoscopy/colonoscopy, because I had stomach pain. They found a small hiatal hernia (a small tear) and it occasionally gives me trouble. When nothing helps, I loosen or remove my constrictive clothing and lay on my stomach. See your Doctor though if nothing has helped. A muscle relaxant helps me.
