Yes, she will still recognize them. And the kittens should be fine - just keep them warm.

Yes bathe them and Momma cat.
But be careful which shampoo you use and be careful around the eyes and ears. But the ears must be cleaned as fleas hide there. Put the front end in the water first, then the 'nasties will migrate towards the tail. Use fresh water for each kitten to prevent cross-migration.
Get a flea shampoo designed specifically for kittens otherwise you might do them damage.
The mother will wash them all again afterwards anyway....to get rid of the nasty artificial soap smell.
A lot of these so called 'natural' flea shampoos are quite useless, so you put the animal through a lot of discomfort for nothing. It's worth spending a little time researching these products before going ahead. Phone your vet.

if you do choose to bathe the kittens you should use an organic safe for kittens shampoo i used "De Flea" shampoo its made by a company called natural chemistry you can get it in petco or petsmart it worked rather well. You might want to also get some frontline from the vet it is expensive but it really works to get rid of fleas and prevent re-infestation. you would need to get the mother flea free also other wise they'll just get them again. as far as the mom cat still knowing who her kittens are she will. and please get the mom cat spayed as soon as she can be

The mother will still recogonize them because they know them by sight, smell, and sound. It is just like us as humans. We know our babies and so do they.
