Hey! i'm 15, and i tried it. It worked well, (but it made my face sweat a lot, because it stops you from sweating under your arms, but you need to sweat, so it makes other sweat glands sweat more) but i sometimes forgot to put it on at night. The deodorant made my certain dri wasn't an antipersperant, so sometimes it was really bad.
Now, i just you secret perscription strength. or that new brand of secret. you put it on at night (just like certain dri), or in the morning, and then you can also use it during the day as a deodorant. It goes really fast, and it is kind of expensive, but it works really well.
But no, you don't need a perscription, it is just on the shelves along with deodorants! good luck. hope this helps.;

you may have a condition like me called hyperhydrosis. i suggest you see a docter. my condition is very bad and no over the counter products worked for me. i sweat alot in my underarms, feet, and hands. since you say its just your armpits i would try certain dri ( it dident work for me) or you can go to the docter and ask for anything that will work for you

I bought certain dri at CVS in the deoderant isle. It was about $9 and I find that it works quite well (at least better than regular brands). It doesn't leave white marks if you let it dry before putting your shirt on.
Definately worth trying.

It is not a perscription, I have it, and they sell it in the deodorant section. Of course it does not leave white residue, as it is a clear liquid roll-on thing. it will run you about seven bucks and it works pretty well.
