Has anyone driven the new 2.5 Altima Coupe yet? I am considering buying one but don't know much about them. Has anyone have a positive or negative experiences with this car?

Look-up a recent (in the last 4 weeks) issue of Auto Week. They did a first drive and said more sport coupe than sport car, as you would expect of a front driver. Given that it is from the normal Altima platform and uses the same drivetrain, I wouldn't expect it to be much different. Probably slightly better handling, a bit more nimble and a bit more noisy. Auto Week also said the 4-cyl with the manual trans. was enough power. However, if your budget allows, I agree with John Paul's comments below on the V6 engine! Good Luck

I have driven the 2.5L and 3.5L version of the coupe I personally would recommend the 2.5L... to me it seems that the V6 is a little too much power and it pulls a little. The 4cyl. for the price at 170hp with standard CVT transmission feels very much like a V6 engine.

Brand new But please get the 3.5 liter engine. Of all the engines nissan makes the 3.5 stands out as one of the best the 2.5 stands out as one of the worst. And I hate to admit that because I work for Nissan. Actually the CVT transmission might even be as economical when it has the 3.5 engine. And worth much more when you sell it.
