She also goes out 5 or more times during the day. Occasionally, she will also poop in the kitchen even though she has been out recently. Help! My husband is getting fed up! I'm getting fed up! She did so well for so long! I just don't understand the pooping in the crate! Two mornings in a row! I feed her in the morning - she poops 2-4 times a day. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

You need to get up in the middle of the night and take it out to poo. Thats part of owning a dog. Don't give it late night snacks and make sure its dinner is early enough.

she has too much room in her create! only give her enough room to turn and lay in no more, take her out like every hour at first it will be annoying taking the dog out every hour but in time she will learn to hold it longer. if you can not keep an eye on her then put her in her create, usuially your dog wont poo where she sleeps! make the create her safe haven, put toys in there even feed her in there. you will know where she is at all times with out searching for her. take her out immediatly after feeding and when she wakes up. hopefully that will help the problem.

i had a dog i adopted at 8 months... we crated him until he was house trained. he decided to start pooping in his crate at night and if i let him out he would try to play in the middle of the night... i went to obedience classes and they said let him sleep witht he poop Do NOT get up in the middle of the night to fix the problem.. if you let him sleep with the poop i bet he will stop pooping in his crate after night #2 of it! See if it works...

when we trained our st. bernard, we put paper EVERYWHERE then when he found his "special place(s)" we removed the paper from everywhere else and left it where he went then we gradually moved it toward the door, and he followed it. eventually, we got it outside and so now he goes out there. or, whenever she "goes" you could put her in a litterbox for a while and keep doing that til she learns and litterbox train her like a cat. you never know.
