Simply invite him to come swimming at your house or to a public pool with some friends, since it is summer, why not enjoy it? And when your done swimming mention to the group that you are going home to take a shower, all that chlorine is really bad for your skin, hair, etc. He might get the hint he might not, but its worth a shot, and hey it worked for me.

Thirty five-years ago, I had younger sorority sisters ask me to tell another girl in college that she could do with some scrubbing in a hot soapy shower because everyone could smell her a mile away. I must admit that I chickened out and didn't say anything; meanwhile, girls in my service club were anonymously leaving bars of soap and deodorant cans in her dorm mail box.

Please know that you may loose his friendship (at least for awhile) if you bring up this fault, but if you care about him, take your friend aside and explain your concern. Looking back, I certainly wish that I had said something.

I'm not sure that there is a polite way to tell him other than privately take him aside and say, "Joe, I hope you won't be upset with me, but you need to shower regularly and make sure that your clothes don't have any body odor on them."

Then again, if you live in the US, you could get Stacy and Clinton to do it if you nominate him for TLC's "What Not to Wear"!

Its a ticklish situation. However, his living situation may be a reason. If you know it's not, just tell him in as non offensive way as you can. You can still show respect for him as a person by respecting his privacy. If you can smell him, most everyone can. Just tell him that your nose tells you that he should take a shower and wash his hair more frequently.

If you tell him the bad news, you are going to be the bad guy, so you might as well be direct! Do the guy a favour and tell him.
Another trick (which I have told one of the guys who work for me, is to say someone else said something, or the old favourite "it has come to my attention"

buy him a set of stuff like soap on a rope and shampoo for greasy hair. Deorant and then say: OMG do you ever stink, take these home and use them. also, tooth brush and mouth wash.
I know guys like that. Only i just ignore them and hope they go away.

If it replaced right into a cellular telephone, it could have any notification he mandatory. If it replaced right into a landline and a message wasn't left, then it may be nice to allow the guy know. i could usually tell the guy as quickly as they have been executed doing despite replaced into preserving them remote from the telephone, so until they have caller identity, it would not make lots of a distinction.

any way you say it, its gonna sting. no one wants to hear that even if its true. u just gotta say it as nicely as you can if you are friends like "listen im not tryin to offend u but your odor is strong and i think u should clean up more often". if you're not close dont bother

Sounds like your really fishing from the top of the barrel!
A greasy, stinky boyfriend, does he work at walmart, ya skank!
