I adopeted a 10 week old kitten two days ago. While I am happy with her (she is playfull and loving) she doesn't stop meowing. All day and all night she meows over and over no matter how much attention we give her, as long as someone is home she is meowing. Any suggestions on how to keep her quiet at least at night?

Keep in mind she has just been introduced to a new environment and she is probably a little stressed. She may be looking for something dear and familiar and currently there isn't anything. She should settle in after a bit, but keep in mind some of it may be her personality.

Some breeds are more talkative, as well. Siamese, for one, are known for being very talkative. I have one, and he's not so much except at dinner time (he'll let me know when I've forgotten something!)

Right now I think just help her get used to you, the house and the routine. Don't over do the attention, just give her what you feel will be normal so that she doesn't have to deal with that changing later, too.

Some cats take longer to adjust than others. My big boy (a Ragdoll) took weeks to adjust whereas my Siamese took only a few days. Give her some time and she should get used to you, and be more calm and quiet in the house.

Good luck and congrats!

She might just be looking for the people who were caring for her before you adopted her. Or if she lived with other cats, she could be looking for them. If this is the case, she will stop after a bit.

This behavior should stop in a few more days. Your kitten is still trying to get adjusted to her environment and is probably missing her mother and siblings.

She will settle in after a bit. It's still new to her, and she's looking for her cat family. Soon she will come to know you as her family. Patience. Congratulations BTW.
