I think it is normal, I'm 16 and sometimes I get really depressed and upset about nothing and it's been happening to me for about a year and a half now. I guess the thing is that it doesn't last very long, I only feel like that for a day or something and the rest of the time I'm alright. Maybe if you feel like this a lot of the time you should speak to a doctor about it incase you have depression, but if it only happens sometimes I think it's normal.

I am concerned about a couple of things that you said, first, you are a teen and married? What prompted you to get married so young? Second, all your energies should not be tied up in your marriage. You should foster good female relationships outside of it, pursue your dreams and work at fostering a healthy marriage which means you are like to "praying hands", not "clasped hands" together. You both need to be honest and open in communication; expressing healthy wants and needs, compromising and respecting each other. No person should be controlled or manipulated by the other.
Ask yourself what is happening when you "suddenly" become depressed. Did your husband say or do something that hurt you; what was said or done? Did you have a memory from childhood that was negative? Are your needs not being met?
I strongly suggest marriage counseling with a good counselor to talk about what is happening in your relationship. This is something people should do BEFORE marriage, but many don't. Marriage is an important commitment and requires mature, loving adults devoted to uplifting and nurturing both parties.

I am a teen, and I would have these too. People found that I lacked self confidence due to weight issues, etc. I don't really get them now as often, but there are times that I'm just sad and I listen to sad music.. I don't know why either. Try talking to your doctor about taking anti-depressants.

okay, depressed person talking here.actually ex depressed person here. it is not normal for anyone of any age to be depressed. my husband and i were both in our teens when we got married and had a baby right away. teen years are very difficult years without being married. your husband is definitely a keeper. sounds like my husband. you really need to talk to a doctor. start with you family doctor. that the best place to start. or tslk to dfs to see if they can help. if they can't maybe they can figure out for you who can help you. good luck. and GODs Blessings

I went through the same thing, even though I had a wonderful husband and great job. It turned out my birth control pills were making me depressed. I changed to another kind--Ovcon, and it was much better.
