Unfortunately that goes with the status of being the boss- he gets to be that way and you just have to put up with it. You could try and tell him honestly. I wouldn't say "You're annoying" but you could sit down and say "sometimes you say or do things that bother me..." but again- you are risking losing your job or at least gaining some negative favor with your boss and that could make your life miserable. It all depends on what kind of person your boss is. I'm lucky enough to have a boss who is approachable and welcomes constructive criticism. Not many people do, though.

Walk up to your boss.

Look your boss straight in the eye.

Say "Boss, you really are annoying at times."

If he responds with silence, Smile and walk away.

If he asks when, answer his question openly and honestly.

Be prepared to look for new work the following day.

If its bad enough, smile your little face off while looking for another position. Get that reference outa him first.

Its only going to get worse.
