i was told its a pit bull mixed wih a chow but im not sure

his tail is curly like a chow and hair is slightly longer than a full pit bull

It is difficult to say without being able to see more of the dog. Chow and pit bull is a possibility, but it could also be a lab, or a German shepherd mix. A few distinguishing features of pit bulls are semi-erect ears, a boxy shaped forehead with big jowls. Keep in mind you are looking at a puppy though, it is still growing and developing, things will change.

Not a very good picture to base a description upon, but I'll do my best.
Looks like he has Labrador in him. Definitely a mix, but I don't see any other breeds being predominant.
I do not see Chow Chow (they probably based that on spots of blue on the tongue, which is a horrible thing to base a breed upon). Nor do I see APBT, which again, they often throw into the mixture for little to no obvious reasons.
Curly tail just means there's probably a Spitz breed in the mix. Could be Akita, or who knows.

Hard to tell by that pic, but judging just by the facial features, I would say that's a pretty good guess. I would think maybe some lab thrown in the mix as well possibly.

it looks like it does havea lot of lab.. im not sure about a chow.. but could defiantely b/c it has that shape of a muzzle..
