You should only bathe your piggie if its *really* dirty. If its just poo on his feet, use a moistened paper towel to gently remove anything.
You may want to check the size of your cage to see if you have adequate space. A guinea pig cage should have at least 7 square feet for one pig. You can build yourself an inexpensive, easy to clean cage by visiting http://www.guineapigcages.com/ and reading the instructions. This would reduce the occurrence of dirty piggie feet. Also, if you use just hay or newspaper, this adds to the problem because its not that absorbent. See to it that you use Carefresh, aspen shavings, KILN dried pine shavings, or fleece.
Good luck!

No, it isn't good to give them a bath every couple days. If I were you, I would move his house around the cage to clean areas and clean his cage more often. (Or just take out the dirty shavings and add clean ones.) You can probably give your guinea pig a bath about once a month.
Please, for the well-being of your piggy, don't get a cage with a slatted floor! Guinea pigs can hurt themselves on those because their tiny feet will slide through.

Rather than frequent baths, keep the cage very clean. Use aspen or care fresh bedding, and scoop out the wet spots daily and replace with fresh bedding. Totally change all litter and wash the cage weekly. This will keep the odor down and keep your pig very clean.

Bathing your pig more than every 6 months will dry out his skin. They walk in their poop all the time. Try putting newpaper under their bedding to help soak up urine. Use baby wipes to wipe their feet if you must keep them extra clean.

I have sugar gliders and I actually don't give them baths. Bathing them may get water in their ears and may give them the chills. What you could probably do is get one of those cages that have the slatted bottoms so the poop falls right through the bars. If you're concerned about smell, they have powder shampoos in sugar glider-related stores. You can go search through this place: suncoast sugar gliders. Just type it into Google and you should be able to get some powder shampoo. :)

Do you have a seperate space like a little house for it to go in. They usually dont go to the bathroom where they sleep, it may need a special place to go and hide out. They sell nice ones at the pet store.
