My cat has been pregnant, but we just recently found out. We thought it was a male cat, but when i started to get ver y fat in a short amount of time, we knew it was pregnant. It's been missing since Monday, and it's now saturday morning. We've called for her, and we still can't find her. Her food hasn't been touched, and I"m worried about my cat. Should I be? Do you think she's still alive? Please help!

She probably went off somewhere to have the babies in a safe place. She may return for food. If so you'll need to follow her and bring the babies back. She just wants them to be safe and you'll have to provide that setting for her.

She has probably gone somewhere safe/secret to have her babies.
When they are old enough (2-3 days old) to leave by themselves for a little while, your cat will come home for a good feed and then 'disappear' again.
She will bring the kittens to you later (after a few weeks) if the circumstances are safe.ie no dogs or jealous cats around.

well...she will probably have her kittens and then come home so you might want to search or put up flyers that say that she is missing...that will be the best thing just in case somebody does have her. Good luck and congrats on the cat for being pregnant.

I would think she is finne. wild cats would leave and go by themselves when pregnant and come back when have had the kitts. The instinct to be alone has ben passed down. Keep looking incase.

Cats are often like that when they become pregnant. They are very careful and often hide somewhere to have their baby. She'll probably come back. If your cat doesnt come back after 2 weeks, you should start looking for her. Cats come back after their young is old enough to walk and come back. :)

She's probably in the bushes or under the house with her new brood.

Please get your cat fixed and the kittens too when they are old enough. Many humane societies will help you with the cost if you can't afford it.

She might still be alive... but it doesn't sound like she's coming back. Maybe she got trapped somewhere or maybe someone else took her in, thinking she was a stray?
Really, you should keep cats inside and not let them roam the neighborhood!
