Personally i feel if the Man pays
ALL the TIME he is a sucker.

No, I still do that for my g/f and unless she told me in advance she wanted to take ME out I usually take care of everything!

If I'm inviting, I'm paying. I have found it to be general practice that if a woman opts to (or is made to) pay her own way, you likely won't be seeing her again.
It is also a good way to show that you are financially secure, which is a big plus in a lot of women's minds. It isn't being shallow, it's being sensible.
Look at it as an investment. Like the stock exchange. You put money into the dates and see if they pay off (you begin dating seriously) or they drop (one or the other is not interested in the end). It's a gamble, but if you get a good relationship out of it with a lovely lady, it should be more than worth it.

No those day's are not over...or at least they shouldn't be. Despite all the equal opportunity it's still nice to show a little chivalry now and then. Usually on the first couple dates, I'll pay for everything, and then eventually she'll offer to handle the bill every now and then. Just don't go "Dutch" and pay for what you had. Dating and relationships should be give and take, so take the bill and sometimes the favor will be returned (by which I mean, she'll take the bill).

Quite possibly. Why can't a woman pay for things on a date? I don't know where the custom came from where the man pays unless it was because women didn't work and stayed at home. Although I do have a friend who still insists that he pays everything, which is cool.

HAHAHA...dream on! That equality stuff only applies when it benefits women. They still dream of meeting up with a rich guy that will pay for everything. They might not be so quick to admit it anymore but try splitting the check on your next date and see if you get a second one.

Every women's opinion is different on this subject I suppose...but for me...I liked it when my hubby when we were dating paid for everything. If he didn't have money though...I'd pay just so we could go out. It depends on the relationship though...I guess if you are together for a long time maybe you share the responsibility of paying.

With the price of gas and inflation and yadda it may well be that from now on a date is going to have to be a joint financial venture; good practice for seeing if you are compatible as a couple.

heres the deal -there is nothing wrong with a woman inviting a man out, and paying and vise verse . Its not about "being a man" anymore....

They should be: I agree with you 100%. That's why I ALWAYS offer to pay.

it will depend on the situation. Like me, i always go dutch. If a guy treated me dinner (or a date) i will treat him coffee. As they say chivalry is dead, maybe when it was alive, prices are not that high....
