Over the years I've met up with several KKK members and other like minded people. There are a few passages in the Bible they have twisted around to support their claim that "white" people are God's chosen. Believe it or not Eastern PA is a hot bed of KKK activity.

These arguments and interpretations of the Bible are really tortured and perverse, and they'll give you a hell of a head ache trying to follow the logic behind it. Like any group of zealots they believe they're absolutely right and there is almost nothing you can do to change their minds.

If I remember correctly in the pre-civil war South, Africans were consider to be the children of Ham, Noah's disgraced son. And since Africans (and the slaves taken from Africa) were Ham's descendants, they too inherited the the sin of their patriarch so it was naturally justified for them to be in bondage or suffer the impoverishment of living in Africa.

Claiming to be a Christian and being a Christian are 2 totally different things. The KKK does not do anything in a Christian manner. They cant be Christians. Why? Because Christians believe in and follow Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is Jewish. The KKK has a very strong dislike(hate) for the Jewish people and thinks they should all be exterminated along with anyone else that does not have blond hair and blue eyes and pure white skin. They are not Christians in any sense of the word

The KKK is very much a dying organization that can't even draw enough members in large cities to have even a few members show up for a demonstration. Fight racism hard. But......your fight might be best directed in other ways. Those clowns are already down for the count.

Interesting question!

I don't really know the workings of the KKK, but I think it's because the bible has such a wide range of contradicting passages in it, that it's possible for anyone to validate some kind of warped prejudice and use God as their excuse.

I believe there is a story in the bible where three men come to a man's house (who is entertaining a male guest with his family) and they tell him to send the male guest outside so they can 'get to know him' - literally rape him. The father sends his eldest daughter instead of the guest (because the guest is a man).

Like I say, there are enough passages in the bible to misinterpret and validate any warped belief system - especially if you take it as the literal truth.

well....they believe anyone who isnt white, isnt human. and God says that humans are the highest beings on earth, above animals and everything else. so the KKK, believing that those who are white are the only ones human, they believe they are higher than everyone else, and they can treat anything else the way they want. they are ignorant and dont knoe what they talk about. because EVERYONE is a humanbeings...and we dont treat animals with cruelty or anything, but they think that asian peopkle or black people ARE animals and they treat them with cruelty.

the KKK just needs some updated information, and needs to undersand that God created people who werent only white. and He loves them all...and He loves the animals.

Christians believe they are of the devil.
They are not true Christians.

There simply is no reason for anyone to assume they are more valuable than the next person. We are all created in God’s image (Genesis 1:27). Isn’t it time that we realize that we are all the same? The Bible teaches us: “From one man He made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live” (Acts 17:26).

That the KKK claims to be a Christian group is irrelivant. Whoever Jesus claims to be a Christian is relevant.

Don't worry about how Christ will judge the KKK - He will. Worry about how Christ will judge you - He will.

They are not Christian. From the heart the mouth speaks. Jesus is love and if He is abounding in a person's heart then the person will seek to walk in love.

in this world I have learned that some people are just disgusting and a rational mind cannot possibly understand their actions...I choose to ignore people like that and not surprisingly there are alot of people who claim to be christian but who are clearly not.
