First off, not everyone does.
Those that do think that THEIR way is the best way, and anyone who isn't doing it their way is flat out wrong.
Also, don't confuse genuine concern for one's immortal soul as an attack, but yes, I realize that many people do so more out of spite than concern.

Because that's what insecure, sick, and confused people do. Although I think it's those with faith mostly attacking those without. If you don't believe that, try spending a few days pretending you're an Atheist and see if you can get away with telling more than one or two people that you are one without being lectured or ridiculed. Then spend the next few days telling people you're catholic or baptist or jewish or islamic and then you tell me which ones are the insecure who lash out at people who are different from themselves. The short answer = ignorance. Religious people are mostly ignorant of the fact that most Atheists live by higher moral standards than religious folk do. % of Atheists in jail? - 1 or 2 %. Number of Atheists who have cheated or robbed or lied to me personally? Zero. Don't ask me how many christians have lied, harassed, and attacked me for no reason other than their meanness and hateful attitude. You see, they want to be like their god and push people around and punish them with fire, brimstone, disease, famine, and flood. Just like people who's parents are abusive, they become their parents (thefather) when they grow up. christians think they are god and try to discipline and teach others...Others who are often far superior in intelligence, moral standards, and and reasoning. Believe what you like. Have a great day. :)

I have faith and I don't attack someone who doesn't. I have many friends that don't believe I care for them just the same. Its when people don't respect each other. IN this site if you start blasting my beliefs and making fun I might say something in return, and that is being honest on my part but for the most part I respect people right to choose what they want to believe. I don't always have to be right. I live my life and let others do the same.

I personally dont. Its a persons choice to believe or not. Freewill in a free country. But I will stand up for my brethren. Its not an attack but a defense.

No one should attack anyone. We should try to encourage and uplift those that are down on their faith and lift them up before the Lord.

Jesus Himself told us that He came to cast fire on the earth, this fire of truth would divide one from another even among families themselves, so there is a gulf between truth and lies, light and darkness and we are involved in a spiritual battle, having said this it is the devil who gets in and sows hatred and discord and prompts people to attack each other and view the opposite camp as enemies, Jesus told us to love one another even if we are divided by faith.

They even BOMB clinics where there are pregnant women just getting counseling ????

it's what happens when people share different ideas: they start to fight, then they give arguments and when they are left out of arguments, out of pride, they start to curse at each other, offend each other etc, not willing to accept that they dont have any more arguments. I think it's funny, really :)

Depends on how I'm approached. If I'm approached in a nasty way, I'll be nasty. If not, peaceful
