Why are you getting so excited about it this year.
The two countries do this every year.
It's usually mid-year at the Shoalwater Bay Military Training Area in Queensland.
It's not like it's a secret or even unusual.
The reason they do it is for training. We show the Yanks what they're doing wrong and they go home wiser.

I've just got to ask what has this got to do with Christians? There are a lot of Christians in the Armed Forces. That's why they have Padres.

If you think this is the first time Australia has organised war games with other nations you're stupid... Anyway, wouldn't you rather that defence practice what they're doing first in a peaceful situation without real weapons rather than doing it first in war and getting it wrong and hurting heaps of people unnecessarily because no one had ever had a chance to practice it before?
And why is your question directed to religious groups..?

Australia plays war games regularly with the USA, Indonesia, PNG, New Zealand, the UK, Singapore and various other allies. There is nothing new or suspicious about it. It is a waste of taxpayers' money but that's about all.
