America was made great through a dedication to the rights of the citizen. We elect officials into office to represent us and to ensure our way of life, rights and national security are protected. We expect those we send to office to do the things they have committed to in their campaigning. However, few elected officials ever complete what they say they will; few represent the voters as expected. Unfortunately most people do not follow closely what the politicians are really doing; only what they are saying! Your opportunity to see how your elected official represented you is available on the internet; I like www.vote-smart.org where you can compare what your representative said during the campaign with how they actually voted on the record. Don’t you think it is time we started watching how elected officials perform and ensure they are representing us with their vote and not scamming us with political theatrics? For starters - how is your representative supporting your interests in the illegal alien amnesty situation?

As much as I can be. You state a good case for staying on top of your "elected" official. The Illegal Alien Amnesty bill is an example. The "elected ofiicials took a break, went to their home states and got blasted by the people. Look what happened. They decided to try to kill it. If we had this type of involvement on all issues, we would have "government by the people and for the people." One only need to look at the % of voters each time there is a local, state or federal election to see we have an apathy problem.

The Senate is working hard and amending the "Amnesty Bill" at a furious pace. By the time they are finished, the American people will be so confused, they won't know what happened. All of our Senators and Representatives will be grinning and congratulating themselves on a "good job", and it will be YEARS before most people figure out what they have done.

It's a full time job just to READ all the garbage they are shoving down our throats. How can an individual citizen know what is going on? Our confusion is what they live on.

Yes, having had two parents in government I'd better be or they'd have a serious talk with me!

I've been waiting for this! Great site. However, they shouldn't wait for them to fill out the questions, but have an unofficial list created based upon the candidates speeches, clearly listed as unofficial, and always open to correction by the candidate until they are elected.

Thanks for the post!

I'm acutely aware that the people in the Parliament of Whores long ago abandoned any notion that they give a rats about the Constitution and the legitimate functions of government.
