I have a friend who wants to live in America for 2 years, and what kind of legal identification does he need to be here? He wants to come here from London, so like what does he need to come here legally and live and work here?

He needs to go to the nearest American embassy in his country to apply for a visa. He will probably have to get a passport from his country. You could help by sending him a letter inviting him to visit.
