The funniest thing happened the other day: I was at one of the Starbuck's coffee in Hollywood with a friend and we were 'listening' to a girl talk about her 'acting' career when her phone rang! I nearly fell out of my chair it was so funny. My buddy yelled "FAKER" and another person said "WANNA BE" and she left with her face rather beet red.
I think next time she pulls that type of stunt she'll turn her phone off first!

That's really funny, I actually have wondered that! It seems like everyone has cell phones these days and there are so many people who need to make sure the whole world knows that they have one. They will hang the stupid thing off of the front of their shirts or from their back pockets. I tend to laugh at these people. It's not that big of a deal to have a phone! I think a lot of these people probably do pretend to be talking as another way of showing off their phones. =) Good Question. LOL....

Strangely, yes.
I wonder if some people pretend to be talking to someone just to look cool.
There was an episode of King of Queens when Cary's dad bought a cell phone. He ate out at lunch and put it on the table. Everyone else in the restaurant was getting calls. Of course, no one called him.
I think some people are just so needy they worry so much about what other people think of them. Sad.

my friend and me were passing some cute guys, so she pulled out her cell phone and pretended to talk. right when they were next to us, it started ringing. everyone around burst into laughter, even the boys! i always remind her of that!

lol thats funny it so happens, my dad was on a job in bushwick and said this guy standin by him was on the phone saying "yea yea and beyonce was there and u know how she could be a bit wooden".....LOL a bit wooden come on now who is he tryin to impress

I always do! I think some people think others will think they are popular or dedicated because they are talking while walking. Frankly, it makes me laugh!
