Hi! The best thing to do is go in to the store and ask for the manager. Once you get to talk to him or her, you can say that you really love baseball, and you would like to work part time at the store. You can be prepared for an 'interview' by thinking about what kind of experience you have that would be good for the store to have - you can say that you know everything about baseball and could recommend items to the customers, that you would be able to relate to the kids who come in, and that you would be willing to do whatever is needed around the store - stock shelves, clean up, etc.

Also, I think you will need to have working papers or a permit, since you are under legal age to work, but since it would be for the summer, it might be easier to get, since it won't compete with schoolwork. If you can, ask your school administrator if they have a copy of the paper work, or you can find it on your state's website.

good luck!

First contact the person who does the store of is in charge of the hiring. Tell them that you are interested in learning more about baseball and that you believe that working for them would be a good educational experience. You learn more about baseball and they get extra help for the summer. It is a win/win situation. Tell them all the reasons why you would make a good asset for their team. You are dependable, loyal, hardworking, trustworthy, you have a love for baseball. (And any other reasons that would make you a good employee.)
Good luck!
