It all depends, there are natural drivers and nervous drivers. A natural driver will pass in a few months, a nervous driver can take longer. I had 7 lessons and was in for my test, but then I know people who have had 70 lessons but still shouldn't be allowed on the roads unsupervised (or in front of me).

Yes of course......approx 4 months is a good average if you study for your theory as you start lessons and have at least 2 hours per week. Everyone learns at different rates and therefore you could be a little quicker or longer (or have to have a few more lessons - or practice with another qualified driver, ie mum/dad!!!)

Yes it is possible to do this in 6 months. In addition to the lessons, spend as much time as possible driving with someone so you get real road experience.

Depends how much you care and concentrate - go to a good registered school and see how you get on. Should be no reason why you cannot pass in 6 months if you try hard enough.

Yes if you spend lots of money on it and have several lessons a week. Also if you have a family / friend taking you out it will also help. But dont get your expectations up. When you first get in he car you will realize there is a steep learning curve.....but its worth it.

6 months!!??

It took me four Saturday mornings to pass my bike test, 12 one-hour lessons to pass my car test and 4 days to pass my H.G.V. test.

I know there is the theory exam as well these days, but do people seriously expect to take 6 months to pass their driving test, instead of the few hours it used to take??

If you are serious about it and study and all that good stuff, you should have no problem. Most people can pass it within about 3-6 months.

It's possible to do it in a week. There are driving test boot camps but they're not cheap.
