Isaiah 9:6 Unto us is born a child, A son is given, and he will be almighty God, the wonderful counselor, the everlasting father, the prince of peace."
Jesus said if you have seen me you have seen the father, I and the Father are one." Gospels in Jesus words
John 12:48 "He that rejecteth my words, has one that judges them, the words that I have spoken, the same shall judge them in the last day."
who do you think Isaiah was predicting-to be the one that my Jewish people would reject-"He will be despised and rejected, and lay down his life to make forgiveness for our sins. He will die with the wicked and be burried with the rich." Isaiah 52:13-53:12
it took me time to believe in Jesus my best friend now and Messiah and savior as He promised my blood sacrifice for my sins the Almighty God, the son given the prince of peace.
who do you think Isaiah was predicting to be born the Son given Almighty God?
dont say the Jewish people changed it -to say they will reject God=?

Jesus was prophesied in the Old Testament. However, when he came to earth, the Jews did NOT recognize Him as the Savior. That is an error that continues to exist, to this day. Anyone, Jewish or otherwise, who cannot accept Jesus as the Savior, is in for the surprise of their life, when He is revealed to the world!

Interesting that you address this to people who may or may not believe the truth of the assertion. I don't think it was so much as you describe, as that Jesus decided to fulfill the prophecies. Why he did so is open to speculation. Perhaps he had foresight enough to know a large change would take place in the human race as a result, and desired that change. Perhaps he was obsessed, or inspired, or however you interpret it. And perhaps he was a time-traveler who knew that it would have the effect it had because he was from the future where that effect was history. Realize that if time travel ever becomes possible, then time travelers have probably been around for a long time. I know the English language is not equipped to handle the paradoxes of non-linear time, but think about it. Van Daanikan wrote "Chariots of the Gods." Perhaps he should have written "Time Machines of the Gods."

The NT was not written until a generation or longer after the alleged death of Jesus.
Do you really think that the early Christians would have written it to contradict the messianic prophecies in the Torah? Come on, they thought he was the messiah, so he MUST have fulfilled the prophecies, so even if there were no stories to match, adding one is O.K. because he MUST have done it.
That is how history worked in those days. And why historians today have a hard time working out what actually happened in ancient history.

there is a difference between empirical evidence of a prophecy coming true (which would be impossible because of the reality of coincidence) and simply writing down on paper that a prophecy has come true...where is the evidence that any biblical prophecy has come true?...there is none...its all just literature that you prefer to look at as absolute truth...

Isaiah 43:11 - I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.
Zechariah 9:9 - Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ***, and upon a colt the foal of an ***.
Now how can someone who is not God bring Salvation?

The word that was translated from Greek as 'son' actually has another meaning: 'slave'.
The word is 'pais'.
KJV Translation:
Acts 3:26 - Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
NKJV Translation:
Acts 3:26 - To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning every one of you away from his iniquities.
-------------
Also, the word 'godly' was used to refer to many other men before Jesus in Jewish scripture.
Thus, Jesus is neither the only son of God nor the only 'godly' man according to scripture.

In prophesying about the coming Messiah, Jesus, Isa. 9:6 says: “The princely rule will come to be upon his shoulder. And his name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God (NOT Almighty God), Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.” Here Jesus’ “name” has to do with his high position and authority, which is also how we understand “the name that is above every other name” mentioned at Philippians 2:9. Every knee is commanded to bend to Jesus in recognition of the high position of authority that Jehovah has given to him—a position of authority higher than that given to any other creature.
While on earth, Jesus did say at John 10:30: "The Father and I are one." But that was not a claim to be God or to be equal to his Father because in chapter 17:22 he prayed that his disciples "may be one JUST AS we (Jesus and his Father) are one.
Jesus NEVER claimed to be God. At John 17:3, he called his Father the ONLY true God. Instead of making himself equal to his Father, Jesus said at John 14:28: "The Father is greater than I am."
If you have been taught to believe that Jesus is Almighty God, you have been taught wrong. Consider:
Who does the Bible say came to earth? John 3:17 says it was God's Son.
What name did the angel Gabriel say would be given to Jesus? Luke 1:32, 35, says: "Son of the highest," "Son of God."
And most important, who did Jesus say he was? At John 10:36, he called himself "God's Son."
So, to insist that Jesus is Almighty God is to ignore what the Bible says about him.
