He is not a silly cat, rather active i would say and demanding of attention. He sits, fetches things and is very loveable.

Some cats just have weird habits. One of mine likes to chew on and eat plastic bags. You can probably get your cat to stop scratching things if you have a squirt bottle handy and give him a quick squirt, along with a solid "NO!" when he starts doing it.

It might see it's reflection thinking it's another cat, and is trying to scratch it. Sooner or later if should realize that it's not a cat that wants to fight, but that it's it's own reflection.
